Imitationalism

Venice Gondola, Italy, Jennifer Branch Original Watercolor Painting on Paper, 18" x 24"
Jennifer Branch creates light-filled watercolor paintings in her studio in Georgia. She began Painting at an early age. She has taught many art classes. Some of her painting techniques were featured in a painting magazine. Jennifer Branch is a painter, bringing her subjects to life on a piece of paper.
This is an example of Imitationalism. It looks as if it were really happening. You acn see how the artist used color to show how the light shines on things more than others. Line is used to make the railing on the Houses. It is also used on the Pillars. Shape is used to make the windows, doors, and houses. Space is used to show that the houses are near and far. This painting was made in our time period.
